Even thou it’s mainly on trail-less ground its quite runable. High open areas with few trees make it easy to run. Typical Norwegian highland cottage scenery, steep valleys, old cabins and reindeer wandering about if your lucky.

Running on a little ridge just on the treeline, small gorges in between make for some fun up & down running. Route starts trough some normal forest along a little wide path. At about 1 km it becomes a proper single track.

A nice incline up to a open plateau, good views over the Forrest around. Short run (just 5 km) that is well marked.

This trail always dries up early as the slopes face south-west and are in the perfect angle for the sun. It’s a short round just under 5 km and even thou its steep it runs quite quickly. There is always a little flat part or a bend that gives you time to recover a little in between the steeps.

Trial that dries up early with a fantastic view down to Seljord. Great to run, starts on a wider atv path that slowly becomes a single track, one little minus is that some parts are almost to steep to run down.

Round trip on marked trails up to the highest peak in the Lifjell Area and down over Tjorbu. Well marked trails all the way up to the top of Røysdalsnuten (marked with painted red T’s and dots on the rocks & even some wooden stakes here and there).

Off the grid trails if you don’t want to see another soul on your run. Mainly little to unmarked or no trails at all in some parts. First part from the cabins is marked with blue pieces of rope hanging in trees.

Continue readingKvitanosi (Gullbrå)
A trail run trough steep, green valleys and sheer, high mountains & streams with waterfalls cascading down the mountains. This is a long round trough some some more remote valleys outside of the marked trails. You can park you car along the service road at the start of the trail. It’s signed with Torvdalshytta into the service-road (dam for the hydro power-plant at the end) all the way from Gullbrå.
