- Up & Down same trail
There is a small parking-space with a map on a signpost at the starting-point. Its easy to spot if you drive from the north. The first kilometer is quite flat but after that it’s a steep way up the slope. the route is well marked and easy to follow as there aren’t any other marked/worn down trails in the area.
after another km orĀ so the slope flattens a little and the trail turns to the left. here it continues its accent and you’ll soon reach some large open areas with slabs of rock. Once you’re on the first plateau the trail dips down past a little lake and up the next rocky plateau where there is a cairn of rocks at the highest point.
Form the top you’ll have far views to the south and the forest below.
Easy to follow well marked trail
Steep parts but good trails, lots of large rock slabs on the tops that are good to run on.
It is possible to continue in the direction of next little top ‘Lille Luberg’ and go down the valley ‘Vestliane’. This will take you to the south end of Gongevatn. from there you follow the gravel road on the west side of the lake back to the main road and the parking space. Its not marked and there are no trails to speak of. There is a ATV trail up to there the stream on the map ends (the one in the middle that goes furthermost up the slope). Walk until you hit that trails and then you can run the rest down.
Forest, wetlands & lots of blueberries
Good parking – map on a signpost at the startingpoint
