The trail start at the parking lot/resting place at the lake Heilandsvatnet along the Road Fv71. good parking for many cars.

From here the trail goes up a gravel road where it divides in three directions. There are two marked trails up to the tops of Risfjell  & Solhomfjell so you can run it as a round. On the track in the map i took both hilltops as a large round plus adding an additional round over Harvefjell.

The extended marked trails net in this area gives a lot of possibilities to shorten down the route or add extra running distance at all way-points. This gives it a great flexibility to adjust the length of your run, everything from 10 to 42km or so (add the extra loop, blue line in the map,  south over Harvefjell).

Large rock slab plates on the hilltops give a open far view all around, the trails on the hills are one the bedrock with short lower parts of the trail running through the forest and some small swaps.
