- Round trip
The trail can also easily be extended towards Trogafjell and even Gavalasjå without running the much of the same trail twice.
This trail starts with a horse track up the the lake Kroktjønn, just before the lake it turns north and you’ll get out of the trees.
On top of the plateau (which is quite rugged) you’ll have som long and far views onto the valleys below. you can see Gausatoppen quite clearly as well.
The trail down runs trough swamps and forest passing an ruins of an old summer farm “Sæter” Tyristul along the way.
Marked with blue dots & stripes some are a little worn off & far apart so keep your eyes open. Signposts on all crossings there multiple trails combine.
Good to run all the way up but the trail on the way down is a little overgrown. make sure you lift up you legs so you don’t bump into things hidden just below the overgrowth. Watch out for holes hidden in the bushes as well.
- you can easely add a round over Trogafjell when you reach the crossing at “Løkjintjønna” and even continue over Rognlifjell towards Gavlasjå & back to the start point without running the same trail twice.
n this trail you get a little of everything. Dry grounds on the way up in the south facing slope.
Little mountain scenery when you get out of the treeline.
Dense forest and wet swamps on the trail down again.
